About

Champagne Belin (Champagne O. Belin) is a small family grower-producer based in Essômes-sur-Marne, in the Marne Valley near Château-Thierry, whose history dates to the late 1950s when Henri Planson planted the first vines; the domaine was taken over by Gérard and Jeanine Belin in the 1980s and is today led by oenologist Olivier Belin, who joined in 1997. The estate covers approximately 8 hectares and produces around 35,000 bottles per year, with a strong focus on Pinot Meunier — the emblematic grape of the Marne Valley — alongside Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Olivier Belin is known for a precise, terroir-driven style, vinifying in small thermoregulated stainless steel vats and barrels, with a diverse range of cuvées including the flagship 'Bel Instant', 'Bleu Chic', 'Clair Obscur', and a sought-after Extra-Brut millésimé.
