Champagne Bouquin Dupont Fils was founded in 1929 when Paul Émile Dupont acquired vineyard land in Avize, beginning vinification in 1934. His daughter Liliane Dupont and her husband Michel Bouquin continued the estate and expanded into Cramant; in 1986, Dominique Bouquin Dupont acquired further parcels in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The estate today farms about 1.6 hectares across Avize (1ha), Cramant (0.30ha), and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger (0.30ha) — all Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs — and is a Chardonnay specialist, with every cuvée 100% Chardonnay from its own Grand Cru parcels except the Rosé, which blends in a small amount of Grand Cru Pinot Noir from Aÿ. The house has been praised by Andreas Larsson, World's Best Sommelier 2007.
