About
Champagne Bourcier is a family estate in Couvrot founded in 1968, when grandfather Léon Bourcier planted the first vines. The family acquired their present site in 1991 and expanded the vineyard by taking over Léon's original plantings. In 2013, in collaboration with four other independent growers and a local farmer, the family co-founded the 'Pressoir de Gravelines,' a shared pressing centre that presses both their own grapes and those of the other participating growers. The estate is now run by Frédéric Bourcier, who works alongside his son Thomas. Bourcier is certified 'Sustainable Winegrower in Champagne' and 'Haute Valeur Environnementale' (High Environmental Value), and is a member of the 'Vignobles et Découvertes' wine-tourism label created by Atout France.
