About

Champagne Camiat & Fils is a 5th-generation family estate of récoltants-manipulants in Loisy-en-Brie, in the extension of the Côte des Blancs, 20km from Épernay. Auguste Camiat planted the first vines in the 1940s; his son Paul began vinifying the family's own champagne in the 1950s and dug the family cellar; a second Paul took over in the 1960s with his wife Andrée; Jean-Luc expanded production in the 1980s, replanted mainly to Chardonnay, and created the Prestige and Réserve cuvées; Romuald took over from his father Jean-Luc in 2014 after 11 years as a viticultural consultant, investing in temperature-controlled stainless steel vinification and a tasting room. The estate earned VDC and HVE certifications in 2018. Cuvées have been selected in the Guide Hachette des Vins in multiple editions (2019-2024) and referenced in the Guide Dussert-Gerber.
