Champagne Charles Degodet is an independent family grower estate rooted in Savigny-sur-Ardres, in the Ardre Valley a few kilometres from Reims. Charles took over the family's grape-growing operation at age 22 — 100 years after his great-grandfather (also named Charles) — and launched the Charles Degodet Champagne brand in 2009, keeping the estate's best grapes for its own cuvées rather than selling entirely to négociant houses as before. The estate is certified in Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne (VDC, since 2020) and sells direct from the property with EU-wide shipping.
