Champagne Couvent Julien is a family estate in Trélou-sur-Marne, on the right bank of the Vallée de la Marne where Pinot Meunier is king. Julien Couvent, a récoltant-manipulant, began vinifying the family's grapes in 2012 after selecting the estate's best parcels, farmed under viticulture raisonnée. The range spans an entry Brut and Demi-Sec built on the same base wine, a Brut Nature, a single-parcel Rosé de Saignée, a three-grape vintage Millésime, and a single-vineyard Blanc de Blancs (Les Bayardes) from a south-facing chalky slope in neighbouring Passy-sur-Marne.
