Delamotte

About

Delamotte was founded in 1760, making it one of the five oldest Champagne houses. Based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger at the heart of the Côte des Blancs, Delamotte is the sister house of the legendary Champagne Salon — the two share the same viticultural team, management, and a wall between their cellars. In years when Salon does not declare a vintage, Delamotte has first claim on the Salon grapes. The house specialises exclusively in Chardonnay-driven Champagnes sourced from Grand Cru villages of the Côte des Blancs — Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Avize, Oger and Cramant — and ferments entirely in stainless steel to preserve the purest expression of chalk terroir. Delamotte represents extraordinary value for the quality of terroir it accesses.
