Deutz was founded in 1838 in the Grand Cru village of Aÿ by William Deutz and Pierre-Hubert Geldermann, and has been owned by Louis Roederer since 1993. The house is defined by its Aÿ terroir — one of Champagne's most celebrated Grand Cru villages, renowned for its Pinot Noir. The prestige cuvée William Deutz is a tribute to the founder, while Amour de Deutz stands among the region's finest Blanc de Blancs. Deutz completed its transition to fully organic viticulture in 2023.
