Domaine B Girardin

About

A family estate in Mancy, in the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay, founded by Bernard Girardin in the early 1970s and run since 1998 by his daughter Sandrine, now working alongside a third generation. An independent winegrower (Vigneron Indépendant), the estate grows, presses and vinifies exclusively its own grapes across two distinct Champagne terroirs: the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay (around Mancy) and the Vitryat (around Vitry-en-Perthois, roughly 70km southeast), giving a wide range of blending possibilities. HVE-certified, with trials of organic and biodynamic preparations underway. Each cuvée carries a musical name (Sandrine Girardin's two passions being music and champagne): Appoggiature, Vibrato, Point d'Orgue, Coloratura, and Rubato. Vinified in stainless steel since 2008; oak barrel and amphora vinification without additives introduced from the 2022 harvest onward (not yet reflected in any of the currently-listed cuvées below, all of which predate that harvest).
