About
Domaine La Borderie was founded by Odile and Jean-Louis Normand, natives of Neuville-sur-Seine and Bar-sur-Seine respectively, who gathered distinctive vineyard plots in the Côte des Bar. In 2013, their children Marie and Simon took over the 11-hectare domain, with Simon having trained in viticulture and oenology at Beaune and worked at Bouchard Père et Fils in Burgundy. The family practices meticulous plot selection and terroir-focused winemaking, producing around 10,000 bottles annually. They are certified in High Environmental Value and Sustainable Viticulture in Champagne, having eliminated herbicides and insecticides since 2012 and actively managing biodiversity through hedgerow planting, nesting boxes, and natural pest control.
