Dominique Boulard started his own Champagne house from scratch in 2009, helped by his son-in-law Nicolas Limar, after growing up working the family's vines and studying in Burgundy. The estate farms about 3 hectares across two distinct Champagne terroirs: the Vallée de la Marne (around La Neuville-aux-Larris, Cuchery, Belval-sous-Châtillon, and a locality called 'le Hameau de Paradis', where Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay are grown) and a small Grand Cru holding in Mailly-Champagne on the Montagne de Reims (planted with Pinot Noir). Each label carries three small stars symbolizing Dominique's three daughters (Emmanuelle, Isabelle, and Florence), the intended next generation of the house.
