Doyard-Mahé is a small family estate founded in 1927, based in Blancs-Côteaux near Vertus on the southern Côte des Blancs. Since 1952 the estate has been housed in the Moulin d'Argensole. Now led by Carol Doyard, the third generation, the house produces almost exclusively 100% Chardonnay cuvées characterised by low dosage, extended lees aging and a crisp mineral style that reflects the chalk and clay soils of the southern Côte des Blancs. A small-production, low-profile estate that delivers consistent elegance well above its recognition level.
