About
Duval-Leroy is one of the largest family-owned Champagne houses, based in Vertus at the heart of the Côte des Blancs. Founded in 1859, the house was transformed by Carol Duval-Leroy, who took over in 1991 following her husband's sudden death and became the first woman appointed president of the Association Viticole Champenoise. Under her leadership, and that of chef de cave Sandrine Logette-Jardin — the first female chef de cave in Champagne — the house built a reputation for Chardonnay-dominant wines of precision and finesse from its 200-hectare estate. The prestige cuvée Femme de Champagne, sourced exclusively from Grand Cru vineyards, is among the most critically acclaimed in the appellation.
