About
Gosset was founded in 1584 in Aÿ, making it the oldest wine house in Champagne — predating the invention of sparkling wine itself. Originally a still wine producer, Gosset transitioned to sparkling wine in the 18th century and has remained fiercely independent, now owned by the Cointreau family. The house is distinguished by its deliberate refusal of malolactic fermentation across the entire range, a technique that preserves the wines' natural malic acidity and gives Gosset Champagnes their signature freshness, precision, and remarkable ageing potential.
