J.L. Vergnon is a grower producer based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, where the Vergnon family has lived for nearly two centuries. The 5-hectare estate was founded in 1950 and today is led by Didier and his son Clément Vergnon, now the fourth and fifth generations. Farming is certified HVE3 with organic practices across all parcels in Le Mesnil, Avize, Oger, Vertus and Villeneuve. The house eliminates chaptalization and malolactic fermentation entirely, harvesting only at full ripeness to achieve natural balance. The resulting wines — particularly the Eloquence and Confidence cuvées — are some of the most precise and tensile Champagnes produced anywhere in the Côte des Blancs.
