About

Lilbert-Fils is a historic grower producer in Cramant, established in 1746, now in its fifth generation under Bertrand Lilbert. The entire 3.5-hectare estate is planted exclusively with Chardonnay across three Grand Cru villages: 60% in Cramant, 30% in Chouilly and 10% in Oiry. All parcels are vinified separately in stainless steel — no oak, no malolactic fermentation — to preserve the purity and tension of the terroir. The flagship cuvée Perle is produced at lower pressure (4 bars vs the standard 6), creating a uniquely delicate effervescence from old vines, some planted as early as 1930. Michel Bettane, France's most respected wine critic, named Lilbert as the reference point for long-lived classic Cramant.
