Patrice Guay

Family grower Champagne house (Champagne Patrice Guay, propriétaire-récoltant) in Festigny, Vallée du Flagot, Vallée de la Marne. Vignerons for five generations; family sold its first bottles under an earlier name in 1930. Patrice Guay took over the domaine in 1983 and launched the eponymous brand in 2000. 5-7 ha of vines (sources vary slightly) inspired by biodynamic methods (soils fortified with clover). His son Thomas (5th generation, trained in viticulture/oenology) is progressively taking over. A secondary brand 'Guay-Quignot' is also used for at least one cuvee (Prestige).
