Royale Réserve Non-Vintage pairs exceptionally well with hand-dived scallops — the wine's persistent bead, apple and citrus profile, and precise acidity cut through the natural sweetness of the scallop without overpowering it. A touch of aged Comté on the side bridges the autolytic notes in the Champagne beautifully.

Harvest 2023 at Clos des Goisses concluded on 10 September — one of the earliest on record. Despite the warm summer, the steep south-facing slope retained remarkable freshness and acidity. We expect the base wines to show an elegant tension between ripeness and minerality that is characteristic of the great Clos des Goisses vintages.
