About
Pol Roger was founded in 1849 in Épernay and remains one of the last major Champagne houses still owned and managed by the founding family. The house became legendary through its association with Sir Winston Churchill, who discovered Pol Roger at a 1944 lunch in Paris and went on to order a case every week for the rest of his life. Today the prestige cuvée Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill — a Pinot Noir-dominant blend from Grand Cru villages — stands as one of the most sought-after wines in Champagne.
