About
Robert Moncuit is a grower producer based in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, one of the most celebrated Grand Cru villages in Champagne. The family began acquiring vineyards in 1889 and by 1928 Robert Moncuit was bottling exclusively under his own label from Grand Cru Chardonnay parcels in Le Mesnil and Oger. Today the estate is led by the fourth generation, Pierre Amillet, who farms organically and ferments in a combination of neutral oak and stainless steel to preserve the crystalline minerality of the chalk terroir. The domaine includes 2.17 hectares in the famous Les Chétillons site, making it a neighbour and kindred spirit to Pierre Péters.
