A Reims-based house founded in 1985 by Alain Thiénot, a former Champagne broker who built one of the region's most distinguished modern négociant businesses. Drawing on an exceptional network of Premier and Grand Cru vineyards across the appellation, Thiénot produces wines of consistent elegance and precision. The Vintage Brut, sourced from Grand Cru and Premier Cru parcels, is a benchmark for the house style — restrained, mineral and built for the table rather than the aperitif.

Our Vintage Brut 2015 is now released — sourced from Grand Cru and Premier Cru parcels across the Montagne de Reims and Côte des Blancs. Seven years on lees have produced a wine of restrained elegance: toasted brioche, white peach, and a mineral finish of precise length. The signature Thiénot style.
Our Brut NV is a natural partner for a fine cheeseboard — particularly with a mix of soft and hard cheeses. The wine's freshness and balanced dosage work across the spectrum from mild brie to firm Comté, making it the ideal house Champagne for entertaining.
As a négociant house with relationships across the best crus, we experienced 2023 differently from single-village growers. Our contracts in the Côte des Blancs and Aÿ delivered exceptional base wines. The Montagne de Reims was more variable, but our best Premier Cru parcels in Mareuil-sur-Aÿ were outstanding.
